Blog Journal 6

 I personally like Diigo but it is not my favorite tool we have used in this course. I feel that the tool is a little bit outdated, but works effectively. I do like that with Diigo we can add sticky notes because I feel like that is a tool I will continue to use throughout school. What I do not like about Diigo is that it isn't super user friendly. When using sticky notes I noticed the sticky note quickly disappears and doesn't auto stay open.  I really like the blogging process! It has been one of my favorite aspects of this course and I could see myself blogging when I am a teacher. The only thing I do not enjoy about blogging specifically on Blogger is that I feel the blog looks a little boring. What I really enjoy about Blogger is that it keeps the text super organized and neat on the webpage. I also really like reading my peers posts, as everyone always has something different to say. Blog Journal 1

My name is Isabel Colom and I am a student at Florida State University. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my 2 best friends, Grace and Jordyn. Many of my friends would describe me as a kind and genuine friend, and I try to stay true to that. My friends and family are super important to me so I always try to be my complete self when I am with them. I also enjoy time being productive whether it is doing homework or running around doing errands.   I am keeping an open mind because prior to this course, technology has been somewhat frustrating for me to use in an educational setting. This all began when I took a computer course in high school that I absolutely hated, and then took another computer course through dual enrollment. I didn't do awesome in either of them which was super frustrating just because I would say I am somewhat tech savvy outside of the classroom. Blog Journal 2

       Throughout Elementary school I remember Microsoft programs being introduced to me. One of the first few that I learned about were Microsoft Word and PowerPoint because we would use them to make projects. In Middle and Highschool we focused on using these to advance our skillset and I even took a class to learn more about these computer programs. I do also like Google Docs but only for taking informal notes while being in class. For any assignment that needs to be in MLA or APA format, I would use Microsoft Word.      I really found concept 1.6 interesting on the "For students" tab just because I feel that is a necessary skill that technology can advance. The 1.6 Standard was titled "Creative Communicator" which is super important.
